Business of the Month
The Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce is shining the spotlight on Christopher Priest, representative of Cetera Advisors - - second generation within the financial industry, protecting community members through insurance and investments, serving our local educators, active Chamber member. Christopher Priest has been named the Chamber’s August Business of the Month.
As a registered representative, Priest provides insurance and investment services for individuals and businesses. Priest shared, “My father escorted me into the insurance and financial services industry. He was a recruiter and I started my career supporting his work.” Now, 14 years later, through Cetera Advisors, he is actively supporting our local educators. Priest stated, “I have developed an extensive knowledge of school district employee benefits and their 403b financial options for retirement. Additionally, I offer full financial services and insurance firm planning. I have a laid-back approach with clients. My first priority is in relationship development, building trust. From that strong position, my clients are then ready to be educated on their insurance and financial options.”
As a member of the Chamber, Priest participates in meetings, monthly Coffees, luncheons, and after-hours networking events.
One story Chris shares reflects on his commitment to develop his practice, “I adopted clients from a past advisor. It took several calls to earn agreement to meet. Now, I have been working with these clients for several years and they have escorted additional generations to me. I am part of their families! My advice for young entrepreneurs: keep asking for the opportunity to meet face-to-face.” In addition to membership in the Fairport-Perinton Chamber, Priest is also a member of the Fairport Perinton Merchants Association.
Priest lives in Fairport with his wife and two daughters. Of course he wants to support the educational system!
