Steamer’s Hess, also known as Steamer’s Basin Trading Company, is being recognized by the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce as the May Business of the Month.

Chamber President Paul West looks to Steamer’s as in-the-know within Bushnell’s Basin.  “Steamer’s has helped our Chamber to understand the business environment within the Basin and has acted as a Chamber voice among their business neighbors,” Paul commented.

Steamer’s has been in business since 2005 and has owned the visible corner in the Basin since the 1980s.  First, they started offering a vehicle repair service.  With the addition of the convenience store, they found it to be fun, interacting with returning customers.  

Recently, a new addition to Steamer’s is craft beer.  They too have responded to this new consumer craving, and in a big way.  The addition has became their niche, and is one of the biggest selections in our area.  They now consider themselves a beer store which sells gas!

In addition to membership in the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce, Steamer’s belongs to the Fairport Perinton Merchants Association, is a sponsor of Cruise Nights at Burgundy Basin, supports the Fairport Little League, Pittsford Little League, and Pittsford high school sports.
