What the fruit cup!!!
It's a frustrating and stressful time for those working from home. Now school has started and as we know, most schools are only in session 2 days a week. The rest of the time it's up to parents and caregivers to help teach. It's hard to stay relaxed and have a clear head with work deadlines and keeping your kids on task at the same time!!
That's where "What The Fruit Cup" comes into play!!! ( If you haven't' seen the commercial, it is brilliant!) Leadership teams need to be more innovative than ever to come up with ways to keep their staff members happy, positive and motivated while working from home! So how do you do this? Golden Hello Company has lots of ideas for you.
Starting with the basics, it's essential to hold at least one virtual meeting a day with your team and share goals, results and shout outs for good deeds done.
It's essential to have one-on-ones monthly and talk about their goals, progress, ideas and ask about their families and how they are managing during this pandemic.
It is essential to conduct 4-6 short surveys a year to see how your team is feeling about their job and working from home. You may need to change your leadership style!

Cha, Cha, Cha, Changes for RAMP!
As David Bowie once sang, “Cha, cha, cha, changes – turn and face the day.” In mid-June Garry Manuel retired from teaching guitar. He had taught at the businesses he owned and co-owned for 40 ½ years. In August, he handed the reins over to his son, Marshall, who had come aboard two years prior, when they changed the organization structure and the name from Manuel’s Music Studio to Rochester Area Music Project (RAMP). At that point they began expanding their offering of lessons for guitar, piano, bass and drums, to also include, saxophone, clarinet, flute and recording. Marshall Manuel is now the President of RAMP and Garry remains as Vice President and consultant. The music studio is offering lessons online and limited in-person lessons, according to COVID-19 protocol recommendations.

Two Chamber Members Interviewed by 13 WHAM ABC
Two of our members were hosted by 13 WHAM ABC, appearing on Fox Rochester WUHF last week, in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Embrace Your Sisters (EYS) Board member Krista Jackson and McConville Considine Cooman Morin PC (MCCM) Partner Kevin Cooman were interviewed during the segment. Krista Jackson from EYS spoke about how to engage with their organization for short-term financial assistance, support, education, and to make donations. MCCM’s Kevin Cooman informed listeners about the opportunity to donate $300 to a non-profit organization this year and receive that amount back as a tax deduction, in addition to taking the standard deduction, as a result of the CARES Act. Consider EYS as you look for support and/or have the opportunity to give financial support during this Awareness month.
