Family First Federal Credit Union Named October 2018 Business of the Month

From serving Penfield, New York educators to 15,000 members, Family First Federal Credit Union is now a full-service financial institution and was recognized as the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce October Business of the Month.

In 2019, Family First Credit Union will be celebrating 50 years of service! After their start of being a credit union for the Penfield school employees, they became a Community Credit Union in 2000. Now they have four branch offices in Monroe and Wayne Counties. A new branch will soon be open in Greece. In all of these offices, they specialize in business lending. Both business and mortgage lending is processed and serviced locally by Family First. The Credit Union provides jobs for 60 employees!

Book Drive Success

Colaruotolo Appointed to Lyons Bancorp Board

The Board of Directors of Lyons Bancorp, Inc., the financial holding company for The Lyons National Bank, appointed John A. Colaruotolo as its newest director at their October meeting. Along with serving on the board of the holding company, Colaruotolo is also a director of The Lyons National Bank and Lyons Realty Associates Corp., the Bank’s wholly owned Real Estate Trust subsidiary.
Colaruotolo is the owner and president of Anco Builders, LLC in Fairport, NY. The company, founded by John’s father, Andrew, in 1958, specializes in building luxury custom homes designed around the lifestyles of its owners. In addition to Anco, John and his family own and operate Casa Larga Vineyards on Turk Hill Road in Fairport.

“John has been an active member of LNB’s Perinton Park Advisory Board, and we’re delighted to have him join our Board of Directors and expand his role and guidance at the Bank,” said Board Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Robert A. Schick. “We are fortunate to have a person of John’s caliber joining our already august and sage Board.”

An involved member of the Monroe County community, Colaruotolo is involved in The Strategic Coach Program for Entrepreneurs; an officer and director of the Rochester Italian Heritage Foundation; a member of the National Home Builders Association; past president of the Rochester Home Builders Association; and a Kolbe Certified Consultant.
