More than 80 attendees gathered at the Chamber's member The DeLand House on Main to hear the 2025 State of the Town, Village & Schools. You are always so responsive to our 'ask' and we all enjoy being exposed to all of the information you add to the event!

 

 

 

TOWN OF PERINTON ANNOUNCES INAUGURAL SAFETY, WELLNESS, AND RECREATION CONFERENCE

The Town of Perinton is proud to introduce the Safety, Wellness, and Recreation (SWR) Conference, a first-of-its-kind event designed to provide affordable and accessible training for professionals and community members whose work aligns with safety, wellness, and recreation. This all-day conference, hosted by Perinton Recreation and Parks, will feature expert speakers, networking opportunities, and certification courses. Kristin Thorsness will give the keynote address. She is a 1984 Olympic Gold Medalist in rowing, practicing attorney, and 2024 Olympic Arbitration Committee Member, sharing insights as an elite athlete, her role in Olympic arbitration, and offering a unique perspective on competition, discipline, and governance in international sports.

Location: Perinton Community Center, 1350 Turk Hill Road, Fairport
Fee: $25 per person; meals provided, including lunch from the Fairport Village Inn.

Participants can choose from multiple educational tracks, including Leadership & Wellness, Safety, and Program Development, with presentations from experts across various fields, including:

- Monroe County Department of Public Health
- U.S. Department of Homeland Security
- American Red Cross
- Lollypop Farm, Humane Society of Greater Rochester
- Child Advocacy Center of Greater Rochester
- Safety Educational Services

The conference will also feature Narcan certification training, networking sessions, and discussions on emerging trends in community safety, mental health, and recreation programming.

Christopher's Challenge 3rd Annual Golf Tournament

Christopher's Challenge is holding their 3rd annual golf tournament on Friday, May 23 at Mill Creek Golf Club, 128 Cedars Avenue, Churchville, NY. TOWN OF PERINTON LAUNCHES ONLINE BUILDING PERMIT SYSTEM

The Town of Perinton has launched a new online permitting portal, streamlining the process for residents to obtain building permits from the Building & Codes Department. Homeowners and contractors, visit: https://app.govwell.com/perinton. The app is a secure, cloud-based platform which is user-friendly, tracks progress, and manages inspections. This launch reflects ongoing efforts to improve services, enhance efficiency, and provide a more accessible experience. With Perinton’s online permitting portal, residents can:
• Apply for all building permits (Decks – when attached to a house or elevated off the ground; Sheds – All sheds require a permit; Fences – permanent installations)
• Submit changes or corrections
• Review inspector notes
• Pay for and receive approved permits
• Request inspections
• Track permit progress
• Receive final completion certificates

In addition to homeowner services, contractors can now register with the Town of Perinton at no cost through the portal. The platform allows them to:
• Upload insurance forms
• Receive automatic reminders when insurance renewals are due
• Update contact information
• Manage all active permits in one place
• Allow customers to add them to their permits

April 17 Networking at T.J. Ryan's Pub

Christopher’s Challenge will be hosting a networking event on Thursday, April 17 at T.J. Ryan’s Pub, 49 North Main Street, Fairport, NY, from 5:00pm-6:30pm. Beer and wine will be offered along with snacks from Fairport Village Inn.

 

 

 

Last Call for Tea At Two Fashion Show Fundraiser Tickets?

Yes, it may happen again, like the past years. Our member, Embrace Your Sisters hosts an annual Tea At Two Fashion Show Fundraiser. Their experience has been tickets selling out weeks in advance. The doors open at 12:30pm at Casa Larga for you to experience snacks, beverages, cash bar and Pink Drink, a large Silent Auction, wine and jewelry raffles, a guest speaker, and the show on the runway!
