Maplewood Estates

Business of the Month

Maplewood Estates has been chosen as the January Business of the Month by the Fairport-Perinton Chamber of Commerce. The Maplewood Estates, 55 Ayrault Road in Fairport, opened in 1999. Residents reside in studio, one and two-bedroom apartments and have access to a large dining area and a private dining room. The Maplewood community is very family oriented, with larger spaces that can accommodate extended family gatherings. The staff reinforces this family atmosphere as they interact with residents and other staff members. The staff also includes a full-time nurse, from Interim Health Care.

Eastside Business Expo March 16, 2017

The Fairport Perinton Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Penfield Business Chamber (PBC) and the Webster Chamber of Commerce to sponsor the Eastside Business Expo 2017 at Eagle Vale Country Club on Thursday, March 16 from 4:30-7:00 p.m. This event provides an opportunity for business owners and representatives to network with other businesses and the community at large. Registration for exhibitors is $85 for members of partner chambers and $100 for non-members. Fee includes a 6' table with tablecloth and electricity. Exhibitors will have their business name in the event program and on the PBC website during event promotion. There is a limited number of tables available so register early to secure your space. Registration deadline is February 10, 2017. Register here....

Eastside YMCA Mindful Triathlon

Fairport Brewing Debuts New Beer

This week we debuted not only a new beer, but a new style of beer... a Kombucha Pale Ale! This is a fruit accented pale ale, with notes of peach pit and tropical hops. With a sessionable ABV of 3.2%, this easy sipper is also low in calories. Kombucha is raw and living, loaded with probiotics and B vitamins, and a perfect match for tropical hops. Historically, Fairport is known as the Crown Jewel of the Erie Canal! A bit more for you history buffs... Ezra A. Edgett began a corn canning business 1851 which later expanded to pack cherries, peas, plums, PEACHES, quinces, apples, and succotash. He made his own cans and sold thousands of baking powder cans locally. The factory building, at 1000 Turk Hill Road, is now occupied by the Fairport Brewing Company... tying peaches, beer, and FBC into the Crown Jewel once again.

10th Annual Indoor We-Tri Triathlon 4/9/17

This springtime event focuses on healthy competition, encouraging participation of all levels of triathletes including beginners looking for their first triathlon experience. Each year, many experienced triathletes kick-off their training season at our event, which supports the YMCA. From competitive teams in 12-person heats, to families, friends, or co-workers working as a team to be active together, all participants have fun in a controlled, safe environment.
