Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester

Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, has been helping animals and people since 1873. Support from the community enables nearly 100 staff members and more than 600 volunteers to care for around 10,000 homeless animals each year and makes possible a variety of programs to address issues that contribute to pet overpopulation and the surrender of unwanted animals. As an open-admissions shelter, we accept all animals who come through our doors. Lollypop Farm adopts animals at our main campus and satellite adoption centers. Cats, dogs, rabbits, small pets, birds, horses, pigs, and other farm animals enjoy the comfort of a nurturing environment, veterinary treatment, and expert care while waiting for a new home. The Lollypop Farm campus rests on 134 acres outside of Fairport, New York, in the Town of Perinton. What was originally farmland was donated to the Humane Society by Mr. Hiram Marks in 1964 in his will. We encourage families of all ages to visit the shelter and our outdoor Farm Yard Petting Area and Walk, which offer educational displays to help people of all ages learn more about the many different animals for whom we care.
